JENKS DEMOGRAPHICS AT A GLANCE
Home of the world-class Oklahoma Aquarium
Opened in 2003, the Oklahoma Aquarium welcomes more than 300,000 visitors through its doors each year. Of those visitors, nearly 40 percent are from out of state.
The Aquarium exhibits feature the largest collection of bull sharks in the world, housed in a 380,000-gallon tank. Other exhibits include Sea Turtle Island, which features a 300-pound loggerhead sea turtle, and a new exhibit, the Secret Life of the Octopus.
Aquarium staff also conducts cutting-edge research on coral reefs, sharks, bull sharks and other aquatic and education topics.
The facility features 100 exhibits with 10,000 animals representing 500 species.

Jenks is home to state’s top education system, Jenks Public Schools.
The district, which was presented the Malcolm Baldrige Award in 2005, features multiple National Merit semifinalists each year, overall academic distinction in addition to athletic and extracurricular excellence.
82 percent of Jenks Public School graduates attend college.
The district features several unique programs for students including Southeast Elementary’s Chinese Immersion Program, East Elementary’s Spanish Dual Language Program and the Middle School Global Program. The district also features a STEM lab at every site.
